If I Ever Won the Lottery…

I’m sitting here reading through some #IfIWonPowerball tweets on Twitter and giggling.

I’d hire Morgan Freeman to read me my textbooks.

I’d pay off my student loans and use the remaining $45 for a nice steak dinner. (sad truth these days)

I’d get a venti at Starbucks instead of a grande.

Everyone (at least here in the States) has Powerball fever. With a jackpot of $1.5 billion, how could lottery winningsyou not?

It’s fun to think about what you’d do with that kind of money. Travel the world, pay off debt, set your family up for life, donate to charity, buy a fancy car.

Take a closer look at those dreams. They can be quite telling about what you want more of in your life. And the good news? You don’t need a lottery jackpot to have it.

For example, what does the idea of traveling around the world mean to you? Adventure? Experiencing different cultures? Living a jet-setter lifestyle?

The power behind the law of attraction is to live as if — as if you already have or are capable of those things. Think about how, in your life as it is now, you can experience the feelings and sensations you envision coming with world travel.

Maybe watch a documentary on Netflix about a part of the world you’d love to visit one day. Plant it into your consciousness. Make that culture a part of your experience, even if only through a movie to start.

Think about what kind of fun adventures you can have in your own backyard. One way I get this fix is through geocaching. It’s a great thing to do with kids, or with friends. It’s a fun treasure hunt that brings you to new places nearby that you may have never known existed before.

Maybe create a dream board collage with images and words that represent the feeling and experiences that travel represents to you.

Invite that adventurous feeling into your life right now so it becomes a part of your fiber, because the more you embody that feeling, the more opportunities you’ll find to dive deeper into it.

So, your challenge for this week is to finish these sentences:

  • If I were to win the lottery, I would ________________.
  • To experience that dream in my life now, I will _________________.
  • My very first step in doing so is _______________________.
  • I will take that first step by this date: ______________________.

Now, you MUST share this with me! I’m eager to see what your dream is, and if you need some help with how to experience it now, let me know in the comments on my blog.

And until next week, keep taking those steps to Live Out Loud.
